Tail Lift Servicing · Nationwide UK

Scheduled Tail Lift Servicing That Keeps Your Fleet Compliant.

Regular servicing extends the life of your tail lifts, cuts unplanned breakdowns and keeps your operation legal. We service single vehicles and full fleets across the UK.

What tail lift servicing actually covers

Tail lift servicing is planned, preventative work booked into your maintenance schedule. An engineer comes to your yard, works through a manufacturer-based checklist on the hydraulics, electrics and structure, adjusts and lubricates everything that moves, and leaves you with a signed service sheet for the vehicle file. Most operators book every six months, or quarterly on high-use vehicles such as supermarket multi-drop and waste collection.

Servicing is not the same as a breakdown call and it is not the same as a legal inspection. If a lift has already failed and the vehicle is off the road, that is a tail lift repair. If you need the six-monthly statutory paperwork, that is a LOLER thorough examination, which we can carry out on the same visit as the service. Our LOLER vs servicing guide explains where the line sits.

Tail Lift Servicing FAQs

Tail lifts should be serviced at least every 6 months, in line with LOLER and the manufacturer's recommendations. Higher-use vehicles often benefit from quarterly servicing.
